Students participating in this excursion will tour Washington for three days, and stay at the Holiday Inn Tysons Corner in McLean, Virginia for three nights. During our time in this city, we will explore a variety of politically and artistically significant landmarks and institutions. The itinerary for the trip includes visits to the White House (or the FBI), Capitol Building (or the Supreme Court), Arlington Center, U.S. Memorial Holocaust Museum, Canadian Embassy, Pentagon, Ford’s Theatre, Smithsonian, National Gallery, Air and Space Museum, and even tickets to see Shear Madness.
As is our tradition, the senior school will be conducting this trip during our breakaway week held in the last week of September. Therefore, this year’s trip to Washington is scheduled to depart Wednesday, September 20th, and return to the school on Saturday, September 23rd
The cost for the trip, including travel and accommodation, will be approximately $600.00. Please note that meals are not included in this amount. As Mr. Reynolds will be coordinating the trip, please do not hesitate to contact him if you have any questions regarding the trip, or trip-related assignments.
We hope to see as many senior students involved in this trip as possible.
Note: There will be an information seminar, including a slide show, held in the drama room at some point in the first two weeks of September, for those students who are participating in this year's trip. The time and date will be announced.
Please Note: Reservations for this trip will be made on a first come, first served basis.
