H.T.S. Crest Holy Trinity School

Senior School Calgary / Banff Trip
Overview

The Calgary / Banff trip is a new trip that has been added to the senior school's roster of breakaway excursions. The senior school organizes such trips every year as a regular part of its program. Students are strongly encouraged to take part in one of the excursions offered.

Students taking part in the trip to Calgary/Banff will fly to Calgary on Westjet Airlines. They will stay at the Best Western lnn in Calgary for three nights and the High Country Inn in Banff for one night. During the day students will travel to a variety of historically, geographically, and artistically significant landmarks and institutions. The itinerary for the trip includes visits to the University of Calgary, Glenbow Museum of Art, Drumheller Bad Lands, the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology, Lake Louise, the Banff Upper Hot Springs, a Snocoach Tour of the Columbia Icefields, and a gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain. Evening entertainment will include an IMAX Presentation, Dinner at the Calgary Tower in the Revolving Panorama Dining Room, and a live performance of HAYFEVER at Theatre Calgary.

The Calgary / Banff trip will take place during the senior school "break- away" week, and will depart Wednesday, September 17th, and return on Sunday, September 21st.

Please note that not all meals are included in the cost of the trip. Reservations for the trip will be made on a first come first serve basis. The school reserves the right to terminate a student's participation on the trip for any major violations of the school's code of conduct. In such cases the student may be sent home at his/her own cost.
