Officer Pat King: I am investigating the shooting death of one Taylor Sharp at 115A Denby Street, Toronto, Ontario, in which Felicity Moncton is a suspect. Can you tell me what happened on or about the morning of the morning of January 1st, 2000?

Brooke Seymour: Sure. First of all Felicity didn’t do it. I know that much because I was with her at like, twenty minutes after you say Taylor was shot, and she and I were right hear – and that’s a good hour away from his place. So, anyway, yeah, Felicity was with me, just hangin out after the big party down at Shakey Ginger’s – that’s the bar down on campus where we tend to hang out with our university friends.

Officer: You were at the party, at Shakey Ginger’s, together?

Brooke: Yes.

Officer: Did you come from the party together?

Brooke: No, not exactly. She [Felicity] was at the party, but she took off right after the clock struck twelve. Then she met up with me here at like 2:15 in the morning

Officer: Where did she go when she left the bar?

Brooke: Well, she said she went to see Taylor at his place. She was real excited because he called her earlier in the day. Felicity told me that she figured that he wanted to usher in the new millenium with her. They had been talking a lot more in the last week or so. She said they were going to get back together real soon. She also said he was just fine when she left his place at around 1:15.

Officer: How far is Shakey Gingers from the residence of Taylor Sharpe?

Brooke: Oh, well, pretty close, about 20 minutes away I’d say.

Officer: And how far is your apartment from the residence of Taylor Sharp?

Brooke: Now that would be a good hour from here, more in traffic.

Officer: Did Felicity say anything else about that evening?

Brooke: Well, sure she said a lot of things. Mostly just about how happy she was to be getting back together with Taylor and... oh yeah, and she mentioned how much she hated having to leave because of Cynthia. Slimy Cynthia – that’s what we call her, well she was getting back to the apartment around 2:00 in the morning, so Felicity had to take off before she got there.
