Details

I, along with Forensic Investigator Jane Douglas, and Investigating Officer Pat King, executed a search warrant for the premises located at 801 – 217, Budd Drive, Richmond Hill, Ontario, L3K 2K8, at 2:14 PM on January 1, 2000.

Our inspection of the apartment was quite thorough and included an ultra-violet scan of the entire premises. Our search turned up a pair of ladies Levis jeans at the bottom of the bedroom closet. (There was only one bedroom in the apartment.) The jeans were in fairly plain sight, and the ultra violet scan revealed blood smears on the knees of both pant legs. The blood smears, however, would have been quite visible without the detection of the ultra violet light. The jeans were bagged, tagged as evidence, and submitted to Dr. Art Vandelay at the Metro Police Crime Laboratory for DNA testing.

Other than the pair of jeans retrieved from the bedroom closet, our search revealed no other real evidence that would be material to this investigation.
