Students will begin the initial stage of their market research. This is where students determine exactly what information they need on
the market they wish to compete in, and how they are going to obtain this information. Examples of market information students may
wish to gather might be:
1. Students must be ready to gather and/or compile their market information for next class.
Students are required to create surveys and apply these surveys in some manner (ie.
survey each other, gather secondary research data
via the Internet, or even use the Net to gather primary research via email). Students can also conduct focus groups in class,
with friends, family, etc. in which they
present their product/service concept in order to obtain first-hand opinions and input.
2. Students must present their findings within a market survey report. A template
for this market survey report has been provided.
