Lesson #2 (B): The Anatomy of a Computer
During this class students will explore the internal workings of a typical computer. The function of several internal components of a
personal computer will be examined, such as:
- the mother board,
- the system bus,
- the central processing unit,
- the hard drive,
- the RAM and ROM,
- the expansion slots, and
- the power supply.
Instructional Method and Evaluation:
Students will view the New Learner video entitled "The Anatomy of a Computer." While viewing the video, students will complete the
associated Video Question Sheet. The video itself includes an informal recognition and identification quiz on the
various components of a computer.
