Lesson 10: Introduction to accounting.

During this class we shall examine the role accounting plays in business.

We will then estabish the fundamental equation underlying most procedures associated with accounting, popularly known as the Accounting Equation.

• "What things do we need in order to operate a business?"

• "How can we obtain these things?"

Evaluation:

Students will complete an Accounting Equation Worksheet in which they use the equation to determine the value of missing elements.
