Lesson #5:
During this class students will learn to differentiate between producers and consumers, while coming to appreciate how all consumers contribute to the production of goods and services, while all producers are also consumers.
Students will also explore how innovation, and specialization of businesses have lead to increased production of goods and services, increased quality; and lower prices. However, constant advancement has also caused other goods and services to become obsolete. Finally, students will examine the strength and the frailties associated with our interdependent society.
Instructional Method and Evaluation:

After viewing a brief power point presentation on our interdependent society, students will break into groups in order to answer the following questions found within the course textbook:
| Question | Page |

| Review question #11 | 28 |
| Applying your business knowledge, question #8 | 30 |
Once the groups have completed the answers to all of the above questions, the groups will share their conclusions with the class.
