Lesson 20: During this class we will take up the 16-13 which we completed last day.

Objectives:

Once we have taken up last day's problem, our final exam preparations will officially begin. During this class we will review concepts related to adjustments and the Ten Column Worksheet.

The primary focus of this topic is completing the adjustments section of the Ten Column Worksheet (page 695 - 699).

Students will review how the following adjustments are made within the 10 Column Worksheet:

• supplies used,
• expired insurance,
• bad debts,
• interest receivable,
• accrued interest expense,
• depreciation on a building,
• depreciation on office equipment,
• depreciation on automobiles,
• unearned revenue.

Students will then review the procedures for completing the remaining Adjusted Trial Balance, Income Statement, and Balance Sheet columns.

Instructional Methods and Evaluation:

After a class discussion on the topics outlined above, students will complete Problem 16-1 (This review exercise is optional, but it is worth a 1 mark homework bonus.)
