Lesson: 24

Topic: Posting Transaction Data to the General Ledger.

Objectives:

During this class the student will learn how to post journal entries to their associated General Ledger accounts and correct errors made during the posting process.

By the end of this class, the student should understand the following concepts:

In addition, the student should be able to correctly forward balances from previous ledger pages to new ledger pages.

Finally, the student will learn how to prepare a "Chart of Accounts" for the General Ledger.

Method of Instruction and Evaluation:

After a Socratic lecture on the above topics, students will complete exercise Exercise  #2 (text, page #219).
